Kandos weekend update:

And so ends another great weekend of golf and social activities. The weekend was well attended, with approximately 40 people attending our Saturday dinner and 21 golfers playing each day. The weather was good and even though Saturday’s golf was a bit cool, there was no rain. For those staying in the Fairways Motel, the feedback was positive in that it was comfortable and handy to the golf course and club. The staff and volunteers at the golf course and golf club were very friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Our dinner and presentation at Club Rylstone went smoothly (great meals) and was a success, with many prizes won on the night. All golfers enjoyed their rounds over both days. Amanda DeHaas was our most consistent golfer and was the worthy winner of the Peter Kennedy Memorial Shield. We have only been playing for this shield for two years and so far, it has been won by Jenny Delaney and Amanda DeHaas (come on men). Well done, Amanda. A special thank you to two people that did a lot of behind the scenes organising and preparation for this weekend – Bruce Farquhar and Jenny Freeburn. Without their efforts the weekend wouldn’t have run as smoothly. Thanks to Rob Ryan for organising prizes and looking after our finances. Thanks too to our Sunday BBQ cooks – Stuart and Craig. Finally thankyou to all our attendees (including wives and partners) for making the weekend so enjoyable. We will do it all again next year, with venue to be confirmed soon.
