THINK KIDS
As a result of the Christmas Fair, Dooley’s donated $30000 to the Westmead Children’s Oncology Unit.
Once again the Dooley Golfers were very generous in assisting this most worthy cause.
Once again we did the Sausage Sizzle.
The Sizzle realised $1185.00
Besides this the Golf Club contributed
The Golfers donation of $338.35 collected through the Donation Can on Golf Days.
The Golf Club donated a further $61.65.
The Golf Club in essence donated $400.
In total the Golf Club contributed $1585.00 to this worthy cause.
I would like to take this opportunity to especially thank all those who volunteered and assisted with the Sausage Sizzle on the day. I thank you most sincerely for giving so freely and so much of your time to HELP THE KIDS.
YOUR GENEROSITY WILL BE RICHLY REWARDED
ONCE AGAIN THE Collection Box will be available at each Golf Day.
GIVE GENEROUSLY.
A gold coin each Golf Day is a worthy contribution.
GREEN FEES
The Treasurer in his report to the AGM revealed that the Golf Club had suffered a small loss of $90 for the year. He also revealed losses in income from Playing Fees of $200, Sale of Splits $300 and a fall in Raffle Sales of $330. These losses coupled with increases in expenditure of $450 for Trophies and Vouchers and the cost of meat increasing by $180 together with the rise in the cost of Splits and further expected rises in meat prices and the expected rise in Green Fees means that we have to look closely at our own charges for Playing Fees.
After much lively discussion it was agreed to increase Green fees for each day to $40.
BUT
THIS WILL INCLUDE THE RECEIVING $5 AT NO CHARGE OF RAFFLE TICKETS
The meeting agreed that Green Fees had not been increase for a great many years and by increasing them to $40 including your raffle tickets would be acceptable to all players.
