At Woodville, we had the pleasure of welcoming MATTHEW JENKINS the brother-in-law of JACOB PEMBLE. A warm welcome to MATTHEW and we hope he enjoyed his day and he will continue to play with us and to bring along some of his friends.
Also at Woodville, we welcomed the return of AUBREY SYMES. AUBREY last played with us in September 2005. In that year, he played seven (7) games with us in 2005. Welcome back AUBREY and we hope you continue to play with us and enjoy your days out with us.

The annual Golf Dinner will be held at DOOLEYS – Waterview on Saturday evening the 2nd June.
The menu will be similar to last year with platters being served for all courses.

THE Golf Club does have its own Golf Shirt and Golf Badge.
Each member is expected to have and to wear the Shirt and Badge.
Golf Shirts only cost $15. The cost is subsidized by the Golf Club.
Golf Badges only cost $5. The cost is subsidized by the Golf Club.
Golf Badges are replaced free of charge when a milestone is reached.
A number of golfers over the years have received their milestone badge but have never purchased a badge.

CAPTAIN’S CORNER
The Golf Committee has discussed the “Dooleys rule” with regards to “preferred lies through the greens” and would like to make the following clarification:
Preferred Lies through the Green
If – and only if – you are informed upon arrival at a golf course that the “preferred lies are through the green” (note: this will most often be on wet days) will a player be entitled to prefer the lie of the ball when the ball lies through the green.
“Through the green’’ is the whole area of the course except:
a. the teeing ground and putting green of the hole being played (note: a separate ruledeals with a ball that comes to rest on a putting green other than the one being played); and
b. all hazards on the course.
Whilst generally this relief is only available on a closely-mown area through the green, Dooleys golfers are permitted to instead take relief at all areas through the green.
The lowest handicapper in the group shall be the adjudicator of the application of the above rule to his or her group.
