WOODVILLE
At Woodville ALISON BROUGH approached the markers and informed them that her handicap was incorrect. She had not played with DOOLEYS for almost 2 years and had been playing elsewhere and that her handicap should be revised. She was given a provisional 36 handicap.
JOHN WILLIAMSON was attending his third game and was playing off a provisional handicap of 40.
As ALISON and JOHN were on provisional handicaps, they are not entitled to win the major trophies. To be eligible for a major trophy, a player must be a regular attendee (at least once each year) or has attended three games before they are eligible.
JOHN had 43 Stableford points and ALISON had 40 points – Unfortunate, neither was eligible for a major prize. We congratulate you however on some great golf!
COOKS
For the last few month’s we have been looking for a new cook with little success. Three games ago VAL KENNEDY volunteered to do the cooking for that day. Two games ago VAL and MARGARET BENTLEY turned up as volunteers to do the cooking. Last game VAL, MARGARET and LEE QUINELL volunteered to be our cooks for the day.
We golfers are forever grateful to these spirited ladies who have volunteered to help us out. If anyone else is inclined to volunteer and have a social chat, do a little cooking/butter some bread, they are always welcomed at a DOOLEYS Social Golf Day. Thank you so much ladies.

It will be held at DOOLEYS – Waterview – 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

CAPTAIN’S TROPHY
Last game we played for the Captain’s (ANNA RYAN) Trophy. The winner would be the player who had the least number of putts for the round. 37 players completed the eighteen holes and recorded their putts. One player only completed 14 holes.
JACOB PEMBLE had eleven 1 putt greens and only 2 putts for the remaining seven holes. A total of 25 putts for the eighteen holes. An amazing performance. Two putts behind were MICHAEL LENART and TROY NEWALL. BERNIE FREEBURN was another putt in arrears. The remainder of the field were left counting their putts.
The previous two years EDDIE HABIB had 27 putts to win but JACOB has given us all a putting lesson.
