To be eligible to win any Major Trophy player must be a member or an eligible junior member of the Golf Club. They must attend eight (8) games between December 2018 and November 2019 (12) games.
The Major Trophies are:

ELIGIBILTY
With three games to be played TROY NEWALL who has been shown as being in contention for some Major Trophies and JOHN POROPAT will not be eligible for the Major Trophies as they will not have played the eight games.
SHANNON FINN, BILL FREEMAN, MATTHEW JENKINS, WILLIAM KAIN and JOHN WILLIAMSON will have to attend all the remaining games to be eligible for the Major Trophies. A number of other players have to attend one or two of the remaining games to be eligible.
COUNTRY CHAMPION – WEEKEND of GOLF
To be eligible to win this trophy you must be a financial member of the Golf Club and you must have attended three (3) games before the Country Championship is played at the end of September.
Prize is having your name engraved upon the Shield and pick of the table.
Visitors and non-eligible players are eligible for the Visitors Trophy, which is a selection from the prizes on the table.
If two or more juniors are present, they will play for the Juniors Trophy.

Three rounds of the Championships have been played and the final game will be played today. Just a reminder that the winner of each grade is determined by a players best score for three (3) rounds from the four (4) rounds played. After three rounds it is difficult to compare scores as a number of players are in contention but they have only played two games. The leading contenders are:
A GRADE Hc’p 1 to 20.At the moment JACOB PEMBLE with a gross 242 has a 11 stroke lead on BERNIE FREEBURN but WILLIAM KAIN who has only played two games with a gross score of 160 is a real danger if he plays his compulsory 8 games. On handicap, BERNIE leads with a net 214 from DENIS COLLINS, net 216. EDDIE HABIB and JACOB are a further 2 strokes behind and WILLIAM is also a contender for handicap honours.

Forty-seven (47) players completed at least one round for this Perpetual Trophy.
Nine (9) players only completed one round.
Twenty (20) players completed two rounds.
Only eighteen (18) players contested the three rounds for the PETER ROSS Trophy.
SHANNON FINN with 118 points is the provisional winner of the PETER ROSS Perpetual Trophy. However, he has only attended/played five (5) games with the Golf Club since December last year. He has to attend/play the next three (3) games to be eligible for this trophy.
If he does not attend these 3 games, the winner will be last year’s winner JENNY FREEBURN with 113 points. JENNY was ONE point ahead of KIERAN JACKSON and ALAN THAM. A point further behind was BERNIE FREEBURN.
